Ending the Semester

Keeping up with a blog is hard work. How do people do this?! To run a  reading blog, it'd be smart to keep up with your reading, but I didn't do that very well. Throughout this semester I started to read a lot of different books, but I just couldn't get myself to finish most of them! That is definitely something I need to work on for next semester because to really blog about a book, you need to know what happens in the book and to know what happens you need to finish the thing.

If you are trying to finish a book, here is a short list that could help you out:

1. Don't go on Netflix. Most of the books I attempted to read this semester were on my phone, and you know what else is on my phone? Netflix. Bad things happen when you hear that little app calling your name.

2. Don't text anyone back. Just imagine sitting in your house and peacefully reading a book and all of a sudden, you hear your phone go off. You want to check it. You want to respond. You want to be reminded that yes, you do indeed have friends. NO! One text leads to another and all of a sudden, your book gets completely forgotten.

3. Don't let your mind wander. When you are getting ready to sit down and read, clear your mind of anything and everything. Get lost in the book. As soon as you can do that, reading 100 pages will only feel like 2. And maybe you could even get so deep into reading that it's not even reading anymore, it's you in the story, you as the main character, you saving the world.

Well I said it was a short list, and three is a pretty cool number, so I guess I'm done here... My next blog post will probably be next year so... HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!
